Paraphasing

 In writing, sometimes we put information from other sources of information to support our statement or writing. In paraphasing, partially we take another sources and rewrite in own words....

The things that we should alert are make sure our paraphrase are similar meaning as the original and doing citation for it.

Sometimes, student take it as easy as they thought which is they just take the other sources without doing citation. Actually, it is bad attitude that we shouldn't follow because students need to being responsible on whatever they doing especially in their writing.

However, still have a few students doing paraphase in wrong method. For example, they make big change until changes the original meaning of the text.

Therefore, very important for us as a student to learn how to do paraphase properly.

Documenting Evidences

Everything we do, should be in appropriate ethic and value, it include when we want to take information from someone's else. Therefore, one of the method to acknowledge person's idea, words and ideas are by documentation. The main function is as credit from us for them that we using their ideas. So, we need prove it by doing citing which composed of three styles;

1) The MLA (Modern Languange Association)
2)The APA (American Psychological Association)
3)The CBE (Council of Biology Editors)

Everything we do must have reason behind it, some goes for documenting sources. The reasons are to avoid plagiarism and make sure the reader know where they can get that particular information.

In APA-style citation, there are two parts which is an in text-citation and an entry in an alphabetical list of references.

Sourcing Material

      As a students, before we do the assignments, research and lab report, we always search many information from many sources. It crucial for us to get the specific information from many sources because we can choose the point that important and suitable to put in our task. Basically, there are three types of information can be classified which is
1)single fact information
2)general information
3)in-depth information

     As a new generation, we can save our time to get information instead spending time in library to obtain information from the books. The very easier for us to get information right now is from internet. By only using one finger, we can access to many website, journal, magazine online, thesis and so on.

However, make sure we know who wrote it and who publishes it so that the information that we take are valid and right to be as a references.

In conclusion, we must know to choose a good sources to be as a references and it is good for us to read from many sources to get a new information that we dont know before...

Plagiarism in its simplest explaination is stealing for me. It is about stealing the intellectual property. STudents often feel the need to plagiarize when they they don't understand their assignments or concept or when they have no time to adequately prepare for turning in an assignment.

Offering ample time in class for questions or doing one-on-one conferences outside of class with students can help alleviate this feeling. However, students often cheat and plagiarize because it's easy or they think they won't get caught.

Some common penalties that can happen if found cheating in a college is Lowering a student's grade on the assignment. Depending on the severity of the crime, some people may be suspended or even expelled and can lose their scholarship. There are a lot of new websites that are starting to help identify the cheating. This allows teachers to get a broader view of where they are looking because most of the programs check across the whole internet for that same sentence. An example of one would be PlagarismDetect.com. They offer a free account that can check the paper against the whole web. These are becoming very common now days among teachers because of the reliability of them.Plagiarism can be found in may forms such as sever as downloading an entire paper from the Internet, and copy paste the others paper. All over the world students and even adults are losing jobs, scholarships, and getting sued because they can’t think of something to say or they like how someone else said it and don’t give them credit. And no matter how we cheat or even if we did not mean to it is still wrong.

LEARNING FROM MISTAKES

 First of all, my post for tonight especially is one of method for me to be used writting in english, ENGLISH!!! WHAT???  Actually english is one of subjects since primary school that I'm not really interested, hmmm i don't know why it can happened. However, alhamdulillah for my upsr, pmr and spm.. my result for this subject is someting that i can pround for myself that have problem with this subject.

Actually, it's not about problem to learn this language but maybe my mindset that always think that english really complicated, yeahh with grammar and everything.... BUT maybe from my attitude that not try to learn and explore about this languange. My theory is if i can't speak english fluently, it showed that i'm not good enough for this language.. and it will effect me in class especially.

However, untill when i will stay with my negative attitude with this languange.. i can't .., i can't ... because one day insyaAllah i will become a teacher. A good teacher should can speak english better than their students.. buttttt..... i must throw away my low confident and substitute that with positive attitude which is as a student, i should LEARN FROM MISTAKES!!!!!! yeahhhh..

Maybe, this english blog is one of my medium to become a good writter in english language. Yes....,,, i know many mistakes in my english for this post but i must slowly to learn.. maybe if my lecturer hehehe or my friends read my entry they can teach or guide me so that i know what i should change and repair with my writting. It's okay, at least i'm try..
